I’ve briefly talked about “Fascial Stretching” and the benefits of it in the past posts. As I was doing some research I found this from Tom Myers, looks like this week is going to be a tribute to Anatomy Trains!
Before you try this movement, make sure you have these minimum requirements:
- Basic understanding of anatomy and fascia
- Have practical experience passively stretching clients
- Test patient has NO contraindications
As always please be SAFE, with stretching or any fitness routine. Make sure to LISTEN to your body, or in this case the clients. Overly aggressive stretching can potentially cause an injury, so use your best judgement, unlike the spread eagle ‘soldiers’ below…
*Do this stretch at your own risk. Any fitness program carries with it some risk and we are not responsible for injuries sustained from this one. You should consult with your doctor before starting any new fitness program.
